Take a blank piece of A4 paper (coloured if you want) and a selection of assorted buttons and small objects.
Choose seven buttons/objects and arrange them on the paper in any way you feel.
The buttons that you choose at a particular time, and how you arrange them, can give a snapshot of you.
After placing the buttons, take a moment and notice how you feel. Then ask yourself : what is it about these objects I've chosen and where I've put them?
Any part of this picture can reflect specifically on aspects of yourself and your life.
The job of a dramatherapist is to offer exercises like these to help you see yourself. It could also be the basis for further work.
